CORPORATE STRATEGY

ICC HealthNet will continue its growth in its existing markets and expand into new markets through acquisitions and affiliations, and through the implementation of comprehensive healthcare solutions for patients, physicians and third party payors. As an integral element of these alliances, ICC HealthNet will utilize sophisticated electronic medical records (EMR) systems to improve the operational efficiency of, and reduce the costs associated with, operating the network and facilities and the practices of the affiliated clinicians.

The key elements of the ICC HealthNet Corporate strategy are as follows:

  1. Expansion into New and Existing Markets
ICC HealthNet's principal strategy for expanding into now and existing markets is through the acquisition of, or affiliation with, physicians and medical groups within those markets. ICC HealthNet intends to acquire or otherwise affiliate with physician groups and other providers that have significant market share in their local markets and have established reputations for providing quality medical care.

  2. Integration of Services
ICC HealthNet believes that there is significant opportunity for growth through the integration of medical services into one facility providing a higher quality and consolidated set of services from physician practices to hospitals, pharmacies, dental services, physiotherapy, audiology, psychology, disability management, vocational rehabilitation, and inpatient surgical procedures for episodic illnesses.

  3. Information Systems
ICC HealthNet believes that information technology and the electronic medical record (EMR), is critical to the growth of integrated healthcare delivery systems and that the availability of detailed clinical data is fundamental to quality control and cost containment. ICC HealthNet has developed and will continue to improve and maintain sophisticated management information systems that collect and analyze clinical and administrative data. The corporate direction is to implement EMR in the key beta Care Centres in 2008.

ICC HealthNet is working diligently to become the leading provider of Integrated Primary Healthcare Services in Ontario and Canada, and to unify its efforts through the private-public-partnership with hospital and community based stakeholders.
