NATIONAL CLINIC COMPANY ESTABLISHED
TORONTO, Canada - January 27,
2006
HealthNet is a Canadian company that currently provides
primary care services in over 800,000 patient visits from its eight integrated
"Care Centres." These Care Centres combine Family Medicine, Urgent Care,
and diagnostic/ancillary services. They are located in Mississauga, London,
Toronto, Ottawa and Sarnia, Ontario.
HealthNet has entered into a
strategic partnership with
ICC Global Group of
Companies Inc. (ICC), to create ICC HealthNet Canada Inc. (ICCHN).
ICC is a privately-held, multifaceted group of corporations with affiliates in
London (UK), Miami, New York, Frankfurt, Dubai, Rome and the Canadian corporate
office in Toronto. Their subsidiary businesses include: insurance, real estate,
import & export, natural resources, tax assistance programs, sports &
entertainment management, and venture capital.
ICC HealthNet will
continue to strive to achieve a high degree of patient satisfaction by
providing seamless access to an integrated set of quality healthcare services
at the Care Centres; while increasing cost-effectiveness, by facilitating the
most appropriate use of self-care, primary care, emergency or specialist
services. ICCHN will expand their Care Centre clinical model, with new
locations in Brampton, Edmonton, Calgary, and Collingwood; and expansion of
services provided in the existing clinics in London and Ottawa.
ICC
HealthNet endeavours to create a productive and professionally gratifying
environment for their clinicians; which includes allopathic, complimentary and
alternative healthcare practitioners. Recently, the first U.S. licensed family
physician was recruited to relocate and practice at the Sarnia-Lambton Care
Centre. This is representative of the high quality practice environment of the
Care Centres and widens the opportunities of recruitment for all of the new and
existing clinics. In 2006, ICCHN will implement Electronic Health Records
(EHR). EHR will further improve the clinician's practice efficiency (and
satisfaction) and will result in patient access to their medical information,
health & wellness and adherence programs.
This year will also see
ICC HealthNet embark on significant ventures in other healthcare markets. We
will complete the acquisition of a multi-location rehabilitation/physiotherapy
provider that will complement the existing Care Centre locations. In addition,
ICCHN has acquired the Canadian licensing rights to an alternative drug
sampling system - Dispense as Patient Starter (DAPSTM) - that has
proven successful with major pharmaceutical companies in the United States.
DAPSTM will be launched in the first quarter of 2006 and will
conduct its product trial programs, in partnership with major retailers in
Canada.
ICC HealthNet Canada Inc. will continue to provide quality care
to our patients and the drive to become the leading national provider of
integrated primary healthcare services in Canada.

NEW FAMILY PHYSICIANS AT THE "SARNIA-LAMBTON CARE
CENTRE"
Sarnia, Canada - January 20, 2006.
The Sarnia-Lambton
Care Centre is a fully integrated group practice at the Bayside Mall, Sarnia,
Ontario. We have been open for about one year and have been successful in
recruiting family physicians to the Care Centre, with the joint efforts of the
"Sarnia Lambton Taskforce on Healthcare Worker Recruitment".
In January
2005, Dr. Scott McKay established his Family Practice at the Clinic and took on
the role of Medical Director. In addition, we have had Drs. William Muir and
Sam Jumea'n relocate their practices.
We are pleased to announce that
we have two new physicians establishing their family practices at the
Sarnia-Lambton Care Centre. Dr. Alvin Lau, a graduate of the University of
Toronto began accepting new patients in December 2005 and Dr. Joy Singh, a
Michigan trained physician, begins her family practice at the Care Centre on
January 23, 2006. Dr. Singh is the 1st U.S. trained physician, across all of
HealthNet's locations, through the changes to the Human Resources and
Development programs, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the
Ministry of Health.
Within the Sarnia-Lambton Care Centre are
diagnostic and ancillary services. These services include: laboratory; the
Meridian Hearing Centre with an audiologist; and physiotheraphy-rehabilitation
services provided by physiotherapists, kinesiologists and massage therapists at
the Sarnia Community Care Physiotherapy. The Care Centre walk-in clinic will
extend their weekday evening hours to 8 pm and start weekend availability in
February 2006.
